We are more than a healthy fast-casual food provider…we’re a public health initiative that intends to reduce food deserts in the United States. Our mission is to reduce health disparities in underserved populations by providing healthier food choices to communities who need it most. The food we make caters to an urban palate. We assure you taste is not compromised for health.
Local Green Atlanta was birthed out of the desire to provide wholesome food options to the residents in Atlanta’s Westside community. With our affordable and nutritious menu selections, we hope to inspire change, advance palates, improve health habits and end food deserts in Atlanta’s Westside and beyond.
A lack of access to fresh and wholesome foods is strongly correlated to higher rates of diabetes and other chronic conditions. Our mission is to reduce health disparities in underserved populations by providing healthier food choices to communities who need it most.
Our focus is to shine the light on nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables; therefore, we serve a mostly plant-based menu. With our vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian menu options, we strive to appeal to the tastes of the urban palate while providing cuisine rich in fiber, healthy fats, vitamins and other nutrients.
Founder, Local Green
Zak Wallace is an Atlanta native and restaurateur with roots in the music industry. He is committed to improving the plague of illnesses and lack of exposure to information within the Black community. He turned his
passion for health, family, and philanthropy into the Local Green Atlanta food truck. Now with a brick-and-mortar restaurant, and food truck at Walt Disney World Resorts, Local Green provides fresh and flavorful cuisine to
underserved, minority-dominated areas. Zak, a married father of four, enjoys being able to serve and educate his community while maintaining a commitment to tasty food.
